In Fleury, Colefax & Fowler brings an enchanting archive find to life. The textile belongs to the Ellerdine collection and was inspired by a fragment of a 20th-century Persian rug. The result is a playful yet sophisticated composition in which stylised birds, animals and flowers meander across the surface. The wealth of detail gives the fabric a unique character that adds personality and a warm, historic charm to the room.

The design is printed on pure linen, whose natural texture gives a lively feel and a beautiful drape. Skilfully built-up layers of colour wonderfully reproduce the depth and richness of shade of the antique rug. Fleury is particularly well suited to generous curtains that make their presence felt in the room, or as elegant scatter cushions on the sofa.

The fabric is offered in four well-judged colourways: Jade, Forest, Pink/Green and Red. For a harmonious whole, pair Fleury with muted velvets or plain linens that pick up the pattern's subtle tones.
