Urban
Urban is one of the three core expressions in Brittfurn's style guide, and the richest in contrast. Art Deco meets the energy of the big city: restrained lines, considered proportions and dark surfaces that give the room depth. Every light source is given something to work against.
The palette is dark and decisive — anthracite, charcoal, smoke grey and black, broken by brass and warm wooden details. The materials have weight: stone, granite, glass, metal, smoked oak and suede. The contrasts are deliberate, and every accent has a clear job to do.
Urban is the expression where furniture and lighting carry the most weight: of close to 1 300 products, around 560 are furniture pieces and 315 lamps, plus 250 fabrics and 86 wallpapers. The brands include Visual Comfort, Kelly Wearstler, AERIN, Jonathan Charles, Theodore Alexander and Vaughan.
Urban suits you if you:
- want a home with direction and contrast, not just calm
- like dark walls, brass and light that is put to work
- are looking for exclusive furniture and lighting with sculptural form
- are decorating an evening room — dining room, bar, library — that should feel like something
Urban rests heavily on one tradition: Art Deco — geometry, brass and deliberate luxury with its origins in the 1920s and 30s.
