The long-established Italian textile house Dedar of Milan presents Idlewilde, a genuine and sophisticated curtain fabric that celebrates the artisanal expression of every single thread. The weave's lively texture is characterised by distinct irregularities and occasionally prominent thread thicknesses that give the surface a discreet dynamism and a beautiful, natural drape. The hand-spun silk fibres in the weft create a harmonious, soft movement across the whole width of the fabric, adding a subtle depth to the room without taking over the rest of the interior architecture. The muted colour scale reflects the genuine shades of unprocessed natural materials, creating a warm, calm and well-balanced atmosphere around the windows.

Idlewilde is particularly well suited to long, sweeping curtain lengths and to elegant decorative textile applications where a measured balance between muted natural tones and a distinctly tactile texture is desired. The unique variations of the surface catch daylight softly and add a quiet elegance to both classic settings and more contemporary interiors. By bringing together the understated lustre of silk with a genuine, expressive texture, Dedar offers a fabric that adds both visual character and a sense of timeless quality to every room in the home.
