Ridisol is Houlès' insulating interlining, the extra layer sewn in between the face fabric and the lining in truly luxurious curtains. The soft, airy quality gives the curtain the weight and the rounded, generous drape that characterise hand-sewn workroom curtains, while keeping the cold out and the warmth in.

The interlining is 150 cm wide and suits single-width curtains. It is never seen from the outside, but its effect is all the more noticeable: the face fabric falls more heavily, the folds become softer and the room becomes quieter and warmer. Ridisol is often used together with a blackout or cotton lining to bring both function and luxury to the same curtain.
