The Colbert textile by Nina Campbell belongs to the evocative Les Indiennes collection. The design takes its inspiration from a stylised 1930s leaf motif and is named after Jean-Baptiste Colbert, finance minister to Louis XIV, who played a key role in founding the French East India Company. The fabric is made in the UK in a refined quality where 82% viscose meets 18% linen, creating a supple texture with a subtle, elegant lustre.

With an abrasion resistance of 30,000 Martindale, the fabric has the strength required for upholstery on armchairs and sofas alike. Thanks to the softness and fine drape of the material, it is at the same time exceptionally well suited to draped curtains and cushions that add texture to the room. The vertical pattern repeat of 64 cm allows the botanical forms to take their place harmoniously.

Colbert is available in three considered colourways: sophisticated French Grey, deep Blue and the atmospheric Coral/Aqua combination, all of which bring a timeless character to both classic and modern settings.
