Description

Adapted from the border of a rug designed by Morris between 1881 and 1885, the Morris & Co. design studio has reworked the border into a modern, fresh stripe with a classic Arts & Crafts touch. The Redcar rug is one of the largest known surviving examples of a Morris -rug with the Hammersmith brand. Inspired by traditional Chinese examples, the pattern was originally woven with pastel colours on a camel-coloured ground.
