Young people are moving to the city and more opportunities have opened up, which in turn means that carpet production in the village is dying.\u003cbr\u003e Varamin rugs feature geometric patterns with repeated medallions, especially on the gallery rugs. They are made by tribes that either live in Varamin or pass through the village.\u003cbr\u003e The quality is very good and the rugs come in several different sizes, with the majority being \"medium size\" from 120x200cm up to 250x350cm.\u003cbr\u003e The colors are dark brown and dark red on khaki or dark blue backgrounds. The wool is soft, thin and fine while the warp is woven from cotton.
