Edo är en enfärgad matta i en mättad guldgul ton — varm, nästan honungsfärgad, med en glans som gör att färgen skiftar mellan gyllene och bränd orange beroende på ljuset. Ytan är slät med fina horisontella band där vävnaden möts, vilket ger djup utan att tillföra mönster.
