colefax-fowler-tyg-kellen
Kellen Fabric — Colefax & Fowler

The Kellen fabric from Colefax & Fowler is based on a textured surface.

The pattern repeat is 1.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The close repeat gives a calm, almost textured surface from a distance. A straight match makes the fabric easy to make up. Kellen is available in 5 colourways — Ivory, Beige, Sand and Sienna, among others. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the collection Tarn - Aut 22.

The fabric is 143 cm wide and woven in a wool blend. At 50 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it handles upholstery in a home setting with a good margin.

We recommend Kellen for living rooms and bedrooms. The look combines a classic poise, timelessness and a closeness to nature, on a very light ground. It works as well for curtains as for upholstery — keep the other textiles in the room simple.

The palette is dominated by beige: very light and soft in tone, with a warm undertone. Consider which way the room faces — north light pulls colours cooler than they look on screen.

Try the fabric on a piece of furniture with our visualisation tool before you decide. Look at it in both daylight and lamplight, as the tones shift between the two.
